A Level students at Ysgol Eirias continue to exceed previous results in many areas.

Outstanding results include the best ever results at A*/A and A*-B. The percentage of A*s awarded have nearly doubled from last year’s award.

Following the highest A/A* results last week for A Level students, GCSE students at Ysgol Eirias have once again followed in the celebrations of excellent results!  Science and Modern Foreign Languages in particular have cemented the status of the school as Lead School for Science and MFL in the region with excellent results.

Twelve pupils from Year 9 visited Abergele Fire Service for four days recently to participate in The Phoenix Project.

Year 12 students enjoyed a really successful Skills Day this week.

Students participated in a range of activities designed to take them out of their comfort zone and to help them develop vital key skills such as teamwork, communication and well-being. 

We were very fortunate to welcome ex-students Emily Smeaton and Hannah Noone back into school this week to talk to the 6th Form. 

Many congratulations to our German learners in 7A and Year 10 who were runners up in the National Wales Think German competition.

Year ten Product Design Students from Ysgol Eirias have worked very hard to create products for Ysgol Tir Morfa Sensory Garden. This included making planters, wind chimes and an interactive sign which is all made by sourcing recycled materials.

“Llongyfarchiadau to Elain Jones and Zoe Hughes who have been put through to the WJEC Innovation Awards. Both worked very hard to complete their work and created excellent solutions for problems their clients found difficult.

 A great time was had by all at the 6th Form Leavers Ball at the St George's Hotel in Llandudno on a beautiful summers' evening. 

 Staff from Ysgol Eirias and its partner Primary Schools enjoyed a collaborative Training Day on Friday. Braveheart presented on Trauma and Attachment during the morning where Nicola Marchall inspired and moved many of the staff with her excellent presentation.
